Aviation obstruction lights are special lamps that mark obstacles. They belong to the navigation lighting equipment industry. Aviation obstacle lights are the range of lights under their seats.
In order to distinguish them from general-purpose lighting lamps, aviation obstacle lights are not always on but flashing. Low-intensity aviation obstruction lights are always on, while medium-intensity obstacle lights and high-intensity aviation obstruction lights flash. The flashing frequency is not less than 20 times per minute and not more than 60 times per minute.
The function of aviation obstacle lights is to show the outline of the structure so that the aircraft operator can judge the height and outline of the obstacle and play a warning role.
The flashing mode of aviation obstruction lights can be generally divided into two types. One is the flashing mode, and the other is the constant light mode.
Constant light is the lighting mode of low-intensity aviation obstruction lights, which only need to be constant at night.
Flashing refers to medium-intensity aviation obstruction lights and high-intensity aviation obstruction lights. These two types of lights need to flash to clearly warn and guide. Because the lights themselves are installed on super-high obstacles.
There are requirements for the number of flashes of obstacle lights. Within the specified time, flash warnings must be given in the required color. Therefore, according to the number of flashes of the lamp, the flash can be divided into two flashing modes: flashing and slow-changing.
Flashing and slow-changing are both flashing, which refers to the speed of the single light-emitting time of the lamp itself within the specified time.
Flashing means that the obstacle light has a fast light-emitting speed and a short light-emitting time. The flash is only a moment from the beginning to the end.
Slow change and flashing are opposites. Slow change means that the single light emission time of the lamp is slow, and the lamp flashes for a while from the beginning to the end before slowly extinguishing. This flashing method is slow to change.
There is no specific requirement for flashing or slow change in the flashing method of the obstacle light. Regardless of whether the lamp itself is flashing or slow change, it must meet the requirements of the aviation obstruction light specification for the number of flashes of the obstacle light itself and the effective light intensity of the lamp itself when flashing.
