The standards for boat navigation light mainly include the following aspects:
- Ship bow & stern identification lights:
For example, the bow of the first ship in the pusher fleet should display a white bow light, and the light should not be visible behind the transom. When the stern of the pushed ship exceeds the bow of the tugboat, a white tail light should also be displayed. The last row of ships in the tugboat fleet should display white tail lights.
- Lighting requirements for beacon boats & dangerous goods ships:
When beacon boats are underway, they should display two lights, sidelights, sternlights and green all-round lights at night;
Boats carrying explosive, flammable, highly toxic and radioactive dangerous goods have specific lighting display requirements during mooring, loading and unloading and navigation.
